Hi beauties, I don’t remember ever using a cleanser as much as I use this one. Even for someone like me who hates cleansing in the morning, I keep running to this one. It appeals to all the important sensations: the gel feels incredible, the scent is mildly green and earthy, and it “contains T-Percent™ Calming Complex, which is Torriden's patented ingredient, along with Asiatic Acid, Madecasoside, Asiaticoside, and Madecasic Acid.” It’s so soothing! I’ve been using these headphones for a little over a month now and they’ve grown on me! To be honest, I wanted to return them the very next day after buying 😅 but I’m glad I was patient because they strangely get better with more wear. Things to note:

1. They perform a lot better when fully charged versus when the battery is low. It also seems as though with more use, the sound quality improves (doesn’t sound as far away as they do with initial wear).
2. These would be great for studying at home, in a dorm, in the library, but won’t work well on flights - the noise canceling is on the weaker side.
3. The design is super chic, stylish, and comfortable. It comes in black, white, and lavender.
4. The headphones are adjustable and include a built-in microphone. I have used it for calls and it is ok, I’d say clarity is about a 7/10.
5. It has a hybrid connection, which features a detachable AUX cable. This way, it is compatible with both Bluetooth and a 3.5mm audio jack. I’ve found this handy for the times I study using a library computer. I typically use a wireless connection with my phone. I have had trouble connecting the headphones to my MacBook Pro, though. So that’s annoying. I’d say take your laptop with you and make sure it connects in store before buying.
6. They are portable and fold to fit in a carrying case that comes with it.
7. It has a battery life of up to 25 to 40 hours (ANC on-off).
8. It includes a charging cable that charges the headphones via USB-C type port.

First of all, let’s stop this ridiculous narrative that people wear makeup just to receive external validation.

Secondly, makeup is an art. And I agree with the school of thought that says art should be seen. Therefore, if one’s makeup is complimented and receives attention, so what? Makeup artists spend a considerable amount of time learning and sharpening their skills and I believe their work should be seen and should get attention.

At the same time, let’s remember that people use makeup for different reasons and at the heart of it is an enjoyment of creating something beautiful or something that makes one feel more confident and in tune with themselves. There are days when I put on something lowkey: concealer, blush, and lipgloss just to stay home. I feel more put together and ready to tackle the day and I may end up seeing no one that day. I’m fed up of hearing this negativity attached to people who use and enjoy makeup.

To folks who make comments like this: please lighten up. Take in color. Take in design. Embrace something different or at least consider it. It’s ok to compliment someone’s makeup; it probably took time and they’d probably smile and say thank you.

If you’ve been stuck between picking up the very popular Kahi wrinkle bounce balm or this glow balm from Hero Cosmetics, go with the Hero product. It is more moisturizing and does not make your lips dry if used over the lips, unlike the Kahi balm. I find its effect also lasts longer. I like both but I would pick Hero if I had a choice between the two.
