April is Cesarean Awareness Month, and I’ve had not one, but two, both emergency C-sections. My first one nearly cost me my life. It was one of the scariest moments I’ve ever faced, and the recovery was just as intense; physically, emotionally, and mentally. And now, here I am, 5 months postpartum from my second C-section, navigating healing all over again. There’s this idea that a C-section is the “easy way out,” but let me tell you, it’s anything but easy. It’s major surgery. It’s a scar that tells a story. It’s a healing process that tests your strength in ways you’ve never imagined. I know firsthand the mix of emotions; relief, exhaustion, gratitude, and sometimes, a lingering sense of “what if?” But here’s what I know now: No matter how your baby enters the world, you are strong. You are a warrior. You are a mom. To every mom recovering from a C-section, whether it was planned or unexpected, you are not alone. Honor your journey. Give yourself grace. And know that your strength is undeniable. If you’ve had a C-section, I’d love for you to share your experience in the comments. Let’s normalize this conversation and celebrate all the ways we bring life into this world. CSectionAwarenessMonth CSectionStrong MomStrength TheBossMomExpert cesareanawarenessmonth
