I am a sunglasses collector and am a strong proponent for buying the pairs that you love, regardless of trends. If you love them, and feel comfortable with the price. Go for it. I used to think sunglasses couldn’t be chic and cheap (they can) or that expensive sunglasses are silly because they will get lost or damaged (not true!) now I just wear what I love and collect what I will wear.
