As I’ve gotten older, I feel like I’ve lost some of my natural lip color. Anyone else feel that way?!?! @narsissist radiant creamy concealer has been a staple in my makeup bag for many years. I always come back to this one. It gives about a medium coverage and feels really hydrating under your eyes. I did want to mention that I absolutely love their soft matte concealer for blemishes Let me know if you’d like to see a video using a soft matte concealer.

@lauramercier real flawless serum concealer it’s also a really beautiful concealer. I love that the one feels weightless under my eyes. It gives about a medium coverage with a natural finish. This one is definitely a good one for every day!

@charlottetilbury flawless finish powder is a stunner! I’ve repurchased this powder for many years. It’s a staple in my professional makeup kit and in my personal makeup bag. I use it to set my makeup and touch up as needed. It really smooths out the texture of my skin without looking heavy or cakey.

@lauramercier loose powder is a cult favorite for a reason. It’s ultra blurring and wears really well throughout the day. I love using this powder on my brides!!! If you like loose powder, this is the one that you need!

These are some of my favorite complexion products that I personally reach for on the daily.

Starting with the @yslbeauty skin tint. It’s lightweight and hydrating and gives a buildable light to medium coverage. This is perfect for when you just want to throw something on and go. I’d say this would work for most skin types. If you’re oily, you’ll definitely need to set it with powder.

The @hauslabs triclone skin tech foundation is stunning! Provides a natural finish and a buildable medium coverage. I love this foundation because it just looks like skin. It’s also great if you have any sort of redness or sensitive skin. I also think this one would work for most skin types.

The @itcosmetics CC Cream is still one of my favorites and a staple in my makeup kit. I love that it can provide a medium buildable full coverage while still looking natural on the skin. The formula is a cream foundation so it can feel a little bit thicker on the skin, but the trick is all about application! I love this foundation for all skin types but if you are oily, you’ll definitely need a powder. I’m happy to share with you how I like to apply it if you’d like to see a video, please let me know!

If you want to venture out from wearing neutral brown eyeshadows, give this a try! You can use any color you’d like, but the key is a fluffy eyeshadow brush. It won’t deposit as much color as a flat or dense eyeshadow brush so you get a really beautiful soft wash of color.

It’s always a tossup whether or not a really glowy product is going to emphasize textured skin. First impression is that I was pleasantly surprised with these @rarebeauty blushes. You can still see my texture but, it’s not overwhelming like I thought it would be. I actually really love the glow that it gives. A lot of you have asked about Fall/Autumn makeup and this eyeshadow is stunning! It’s the most beautiful rose gold color, AND it’s perfect for the season. It’s a liquid eyeshadow that is so easy to apply. Once it dries down, it stays put!

Have you ever tried using your eyebrow pencil as eyeliner? It’s a great way to really give you a subtle line and soft definition. So, if you can’t find your eyeliner, you can always try using your eyebrow pencil…just note that it’s going to be waxier/harder texture and not give you as much color payoff (which could be a bonus’s if you want really natural eyeliner).

Should you wear a bronzer in the fall/winter?

I’ve had this question come up a couple of times so I thought I would share my insight below. The long and the short of it is: YES! And here’s why…

Bronzer can be a great way to add warmth and color to your face in the cooler months. That doesn’t mean you necessarily need to look like you’ve been on vacation, but, adding soft warmth can really bring your skin back to life! Here are some tips for bronzer in the Fall/Winter:

Choose a lighter shade than you would in the summer: Use a bronzer that’s only a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone.

Apply it to the right places: Apply bronzer to areas where the sun would naturally hit, like your cheekbones, temples, forehead, and nose.

Use a bigger brush that is less dense to ensure you’re not going to heavy.

Make sure your face and body are the same shade by blending out the bronzer wherever your skin is visible.

Try a cream or liquid bronzer if you have normal to dry skin!

Powder can do amazing things when it comes to makeup, but for a lot of people, you don’t necessarily need it all over your face. I like to apply powder on the areas where I get a little shiny (in my t-zone) and areas where I have a little bit of texture— otherwise, on the areas that I don’t need it, I like to keep the natural glow shining through my skin. Using a smaller firm dense brush can really help get the powder to those smaller areas.

And, don’t get me wrong, if you need powder, use it!

You can definitely apply the stick directly to your skin BUT, doing it that way can potentially make you work harder to blend it out and sometimes leave you with patchy makeup. Try using a firm dense brush and warm the product on the back of your hand or a palette first. This will help give you a soft buildable natural finish.

Don’t get me wrong, I do love powder bronzer, but sometimes you just want to throw on a little bit of color to your skin and keep it moving. I love applying a cream or liquid bronzer because it’s really easy to apply and gives you a beautiful natural warmth to your skin.

If you do tend to get a little bit more oily, you can always set it with a powder bronzer or translucent powder to lock it in!
