Homemade two ingredient Gingerbread Ornaments

✨Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups apple sauce
- 1.5 cups ground cinnamon

✨ Directions:

1. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine 1.5 cups of apple sauce and 1.5 cups of ground cinnamon. Stir until you have a dough-like consistency.

2. Prepare to Roll: Place a large piece of parchment paper on your work surface. Sprinkle some additional ground cinnamon on the parchment to help prevent sticking.

3. Roll Out the Dough: Place the dough on the cinnamon-dusted parchment paper. To prevent sticking, place another sheet of parchment paper over the dough. Roll it out to about 3/8 of an inch thick.

4. Cut Out Shapes: Remove the top sheet of parchment paper and use cookie cutters to cut out your desired shapes for the ornaments.

5. Prepare for Hanging: Before baking, take ornament hooks and cut them in half with a wire cutter. Gently press the cut ends into the top of each ornament to create a loop for hanging.

6. Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degrees Celsius).

7. Bake the Ornaments: Carefully transfer the cut-out shapes (still on the parchment paper) onto a baking sheet. Bake them in the preheated oven for 2 hours.

8. Cool and Dry: After baking, remove them from the oven and immediately place a sheet of parchment paper over the ornaments. Lay another baking sheet on top for a little weight to help them stay flat. Let them cool completely. For best results, let them dry overnight. If you want the ornaments to be firmer, you can add them back in the oven for an extra hour, but this step is optional.

9. Decorate: Once fully cooled, use metallic puffy paint or any other decorations you like to personalize your ornaments.

10. Hang and Enjoy: Once decorated, hang your beautiful gingerbread ornaments on the tree using the hooks and enjoy the wonderful cinnamon aroma filling your home!

Coffee and Snack Cart for my delivery drivers 🫶🏻

I wanted to share a little something I did for my amazing delivery drivers this holiday season. I decided to set up a snack and coffee cart for them, and I’d love to explain why!

First off, these amazing men and women work super hard, especially during the holidays when things get really busy. They’re out there braving the cold, rain, and sometimes even snow, just to get our packages to us on time. I thought a little pick-me-up could go a long way!

I know how nice it is to grab a warm cup of coffee or a tasty snack when you’re on the go. It’s like a little hug in a cup! Plus, it’s a great way to show appreciation for all the hard work they do. I wanted to make their day a bit brighter and let them know that their efforts don’t go unnoticed.

It’s all about spreading some holiday cheer, right? So, if you see a delivery driver out there, maybe take a moment to say thanks or offer a little kindness. It really makes a difference!

This Thanksgiving, I’m feeling incredibly grateful and excited to give back to our community by creating Thanksgiving dinner boxes for our local food pantry.

This project is especially meaningful to me because it’s a chance to teach our kids the importance of giving back and helping those who may be struggling during the holidays. I want them to understand that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Each box will be filled with everything needed for a full holiday meal. We’ve included a can opener for the canned goods, apple sauce to replace eggs and butter, and evaporated milk for dairy. There are also aluminum trays for serving and festive plates and utensils to bring a little joy to the table.

I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share this experience with my family and hope it inspires others to spread a little kindness this season.

Why I chose a gaming date night 👇🏻

I decided to plan an Xbox gaming night for my husband because, let’s face it, he’s a huge college football fan, and the NCAA just released its first game in 11 years. I knew this was a big deal for him, and even though he doesn’t actually play video games anymore, I thought this would be an amazing opportunity to bring back some nostalgia.

We’ve been together since high school, and I remember how much he loved playing football games back then. So, I wanted to recreate that magic for him.

I thought, “What better way to connect and relive those memories than by diving into this new game together?” I wanted to give him a night that brought back those carefree days, reminding us both of our roots as high school sweethearts.

So, I set up one of our boys rooms, stocked up on his favorite snacks, and prepared for a night to get absolutely rocked in this video game. But I knew it would mean a lot to him, and honestly, I was excited to see that spark of joy in his eyes as we reminisced for just that night.
