It’s time to say goodbye to the Boho braids!😭

I had my boho braids in for a month and a half. The braids didn’t look old at all, they looked very nice still even after 6 weeks. I usually would not leave a protective style in no longer than 6 weeks with 8 weeks being the max! I didn’t use any product or water to take these boho braids out because was so baby soft! I was surprised at how soft and moisturized my hair was even after a month. Shout out to my haircare routine okay!😝

I am still in the ongoing process of revamping my wardrobe and rediscovering my style. I cleaned out a good portion of my closet but I still have a lot of work ahead of me. I originally wanted to wait before I started adding new pieces to my wardrobe but knowing me, I couldn’t.😂 I purchased a few basic pieces off of Amazon to start off with. Let’s go get my boho braids! I rarely get braids but when I do, I just stick with box braids using the color 144! I decided to step out my comfort zone this time and I’m so happy I did! My cousin ate down on these boho braids!🔥

I think I finally perfected how I maintain and refresh my boho braids!🤩🔥

The first week when I tried maintaining my braids I just used a foaming mousse but I found that the loose hairs were tangling and frizzing up really bad. This time I used a gel and I am so happy I did! It’s been over a week and I haven’t had to do to much up keep or reapplying the gel. I just add the mousse on the braids every morning since the gel did an excellent job holding the loose strands in place!🔥

My favorite way to moisture my hair while in a protective style is using a spray leave in conditioner. I’m not a huge fan of spray leave-in conditioners but this one by @mielleorganics is always my go to. The foaming mousse I’ve been loving on my braids is from @theashleymariecollection !
