This Apple Crisp is delicious, simple and healthier than your average fall dessert. Recipe below:
Ingredients:
Apple Base:
🍎 4-5 Large Honey Crisp Apples
🍎 1/3 Cup brown monk fruit sweetener
🍎 2 tsp cinnamon
🍎 1/4 tsp nutmeg
🍎 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
🍎 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping:
🍎 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
🍎1/3 cup brown monk fruit sweetener
🍎 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
🍎 1/2 cup melted butter
🍎1/2 cup chopped walnuts
🍎 1 tsp cinnamon
🍎 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F, and coat baking dish with nonstick cooking spray
- To prepare the topping combine the oats, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg walnuts, melted butter, and sweetener . Stir until crumble forms.
- To prepare the filling, toss the apples with the flour, cinnamon, sweetener, nutmeg and vanilla extract in a large bowl until completely coated.
- Transfer apples to baking dish and evenly distribute in pan.
- Sprinkle evenly with the topping.
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until the apples are fork tender.
