⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 The Stranger Upstairs by Lisa Matlin This was a BOTM pick last year, and October was the perfect time to read it. Overall, this was a good popcorn thriller. I wasn’t as scared as I thought I’d be, but still good. I liked the premise and the setting. I kept forgetting it was set in Australia until the casual references to kangaroos 🦘 in the main character’s backyard. At times, I thought the events happening between the husband and wife were a bit much (hard to explain without giving too much away). And I had to suspend disbelief to go along with some of the plot points in the book. But the ending was thrilling, and I didn’t fully guess it. Always a bonus!
