BOOK REVIEW Redeeming Justice by Jarrett Adams (@prhaudio gifted) This was yet another incredible read about the criminal justice system and the devastating consequences of wrongful conviction. In his memoir, Adams details his wrongful conviction as a teenager, the 10 years he spent in prison before exoneration, and his journey to becoming a defense attorney. Adams’ story was heartbreaking, but I very much appreciate his willingness to share his story with readers. I cannot fathom what he went through, but for him to spend a decade in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, and then to be back in the courtroom as the defense attorney?! It’s very inspiring. If victims of wrongful convictions had an attorney who cares as much as Adams, they likely wouldn’t have been wrongfully convicted. A powerful memoir, and I enjoyed the audiobook, which is narrated by Adams.
