Burgundy has been an amazing color all season, but it’s time to make way for its replacement: powder pink. Pink expresses optimism, romance and femininity, all a part of the trend for spring. This shade of pink is a softer pink, not the bright Barbie pink of recent years. It’s definitely a little more toned down and therefore can easily be paired with more colors. While I love pink by itself, I especially love coupling it with other unique shades. Because we will be transitioning from burgundy to pink, one of my favorite combinations for right now is the two of them together. You can blend in pink with the burgundy pieces you already have in your closet. I also love pink with chocolate brown and, as we move closer to warmer weather, you can easily pair iti with Pantone’s Color of the Year, Mocha Mousse. So, for now, think a pink sweater under a chocolate brown leather jacket and for later, think of a pink top with a mocha mousse skirt. A pink sweater or sweatshirt is also a great transitional piece for early Spring. When it’s still cool enough to wear a sweater, but you are so ready to put your black away, pink is a great way to go. LTKStyleTip LTKOver40 LTKSeasonal
