How to hang garland on a mirror… ⁣

It’s a really simple and quick way to dress up your home for the holidays! You just add command hooks to the sides of your mirror after dusting, lay the garland on and wire it to the hooks and you’re done! I zip tied a second garland on top as well and topped it off with a long bow. ⁣

Full & Festive holiday mantle. This full client mantle was so fun to do. This year we switched it up and added even more greenery for a full and wild look as well as more picks and ornaments.
Here was my process:
1. Attach a base wire garland with cord bundle command hooks. Secure with at least 4-6 to ensure it's on there. There is nothing worse than having it fall down after it's up!
2. Attached 6 cedar garlands to the wire garland and intertwined them.
3. Added 3 different varieties of green picks for dimension.
4. Added my non green picks. We had a large pine cone pick, a white berry and a glittery mini pine one.
5. Then added in clumps of ornaments varying in size, color and shape.
6. And of course topped it off with green wired fairy lights and ribbon!

Here is one of three designs I worked on yesterday. This color pallet is so soothing and peaceful to me. Warm golds, silvers and a touch of brown for some contrast and depth. I love working with clients and starting from scratch or working with what they have to create the tree of their dreams.

Front porch layering rugs

Christmas decor can be overwhelming, expensive and take years to save and build up your stash.
That being said I feel like every year I try to reinvent what I already have or add in one new thing.
This year it was adding these tinsel sheets to the tree and I don't know if I will ever go back. The color pallet I already have is browns and coppers so these copper sheets were perfect.
Each pack comes with 5 strips and you simply just set the strip back into the tree and let it work its magic. I cut each strip into 3 so I could space them throughout the tree. For my 10 foot tree I used 2 packs or 10 sheets.

2 Teacher Gift Idea
Here is our first teacher/ neighbor gift idea for the year. This year I'm doing this for my kid's teachers because nothing says the holidays like freshly popped popcorn and a movie.
Here's what I included:
• a personal popcorn popper for the microwave
• chocolate chip popcorn seasoning (sooo delicious)

We have only had these for a week but they have been game changers! Every night I’ve prepped healthy snacks in them then the next day we pull them out when the kids get home from school, run to brother’s football games, and also when we have had to run out the door for carpools. ⁣

Reverse decorating... from 🎄to 👻!

I started out with a Christmas mantle design to start giving people ideas for the year. Then I thought... l really don't want to take this down. So Ihad the crazy idea to cover it all with Halloween! Then once Halloween is over, I just remove Halloween and Christmas is up! Seems like a good plan right?

Putting Halloween on top worked wonderfully. I am obsessed with how it turned out! Stay tuned to see if the transition after Halloween goes to plan.

My process:
1. Remove berries and glitter ornaments from Christmas mantle
2. Cover large @vickerman ornaments with Halloween fabric
3. Layer garland with droopy bits of Halloween fabric
4. Add in black florals. All from Hobby Lobby that I spray painted black
5. Added in sticks
6. Then spiders! For the past couple years I've hung these guys on my front porch and I was ready to try something new!
7. Then to top it off... ALWAYS ribbon. I added a large
3" black velvet bow along with satin 1.5" ribbon.

HOW TO HANG BATTERY OPERATED CANDLES FROM YOUR TREE 🌲 ⁣

2024 trends that I’m loving: ⁣
1. Ornament garlands ⁣

3. AND candles on the tree (yes it’s coming back and I’m obsessed!) ⁣

Here’s how to hang the candles: ⁣
• put two AA batteries in each candle⁣
• tie your ribbon around the base to cover the bottom of the candle ⁣
• tie fishing line around the wick of the candle⁣
• then tie the fishing line to a floral wire so you can wire it in the tree and ensure that it’s not going anywhere ⁣
