For the newborn days, I always wrapped my baby in a solly wrap! Once he turned 3 months old, I started using this wrap/ buckle carrier combo. The first few times I wrapped my baby, he screamed. I thought he hated being wrapped. Until I learned MOST babies will be upset being wrapped / put into their carriers at first. (Continue reading for how I get the wrap to work for us!) Comment BABY and I’ll send you the link to the wrap / carrier I’m using here (it’s like a cheat - it’s a wrap in the front but it buckles in the back!) Here’s what I do: after safely wrapping my baby or putting him in his carrier, I give him a paci. I’ll walk around and bounce him OR bounce him on a yoga ball for 3-10 minutes while patting his bottom and shushing him. He then calms and falls asleep and takes the coziest nap wrapped into mamas chest and my arms are free to get tasks done or even just sit and scroll with two free hands. As a new mom I love naps in the wrap! Baby wearing can be so helpful in public as well. When my baby was a newborn I always used a solly wrap! As my baby got a bit bigger and older (3 months) I started using this hybrid wrap you see me wearing in this video. Once he starts wearing 3-6 month clothes I’ll start using a traditional carrier instead! Disclaimer: I am not a professional (far from it - I’m a first time mom!) this is just my personal experience and what worked for me and my baby. So many of my mom friends think their babies hate the wrap because they don’t give them any time to settle - so I wanted to share this in hopes it helps another mom! Please be sure to educate yourself on how to properly wear your baby before doing so. I like to watch the tutorials from the brand of wrap or carrier I’m using to make sure I’m wearing it safely and correctly. momreels firsttimemom newmom momtips LTKBaby
