On our second full day in Newport, Elizabeth and I went on a boat ride in the morning, and then walked around town. It was so neat to see the beautiful historic mansions along the coast! Since it was a cooler out on the water, I layered my striped sweater over my Frank and Eileen polo dress for a preppy, nautical look. I really love the versatility of this white polo dress. It’s such an elevated, yet casual summer basic. Have you toured any of the historic Newport mansions? Which were your favorites?? Burgundy is a color that has been on-trend for so long that it’s basically considered a neutral…and I really love it for the holidays!

This top by ASTR The Label is a gorgeous deep burgundy color that looks amazing on so many skin tones. It has strong shoulders, subtle rhinestones all over, and a comfortable elastic waist. It’s super forgiving in the tummy area if that’s a concern for you. A lot of sparkly, sequin tops can be scratchy and unpleasant to wear, but this top is really lovely and comfortable. It’s selling out so fast, so if you don’t see it available in your size (it runs true to size), it also comes in a beautiful white color. We’re also sharing another burgundy option below!
