What are the temperatures like where you are?? It’s been in the single digits and negatives here in Telluride… brrrr!!! ❄️

My family and I have lived in Telluride, CO for over 7 years now. We actually moved here as an experiment to “test it out” for a year. I wasn’t sure if I could handle the long winter season after living in Texas for 8 years. Well, 7+ years later… we’ve built our dream house and have absolutely no plans to leave!

My favorite, go-to activity in the winter months is skiing… and out of all the types of skiing, I like downhill best. This show-stopping ski suit is one of my absolute favorites to wear because of its bright pink color. If anyone knows me, they know I LOVE pink... so this suit was practically a must for me!

If you’re on the hunt for boots that can handle the snow, sleet, and slush, these Sorel boots are perfect. They’re already my go-to weatherproof boots this season. Sorel has been one of my favorite brands for winter boots for years, and this pair is no exception. They’re waterproof, have excellent tread for icey parking lots and streets, and feature a cool edgy design. The block heels adds some extra height, which I love as a petite woman, but if you prefer a flatter option, there’s a similiar style with a lower heel. True to size.

These chic casual winter wardrobe essentials from @Nordstrom are MAJOR heavy hitters for me. This gorgeous, sporty down puffer has been my go-to puffer for YEARS. Not only is it super chic, it's also very warm and wind and water-resistant. I've even worn it to ski! The jeans are another closet essential I've worn for years now. I love the darker wash, but I own them in several other washes too. (They're THAT good!) Lastly, I want to highlight these boots...They are the perfect everyday winter boot. They are waterproof and have amazing traction, so you can walk through snow, ice, and slush without slipping around. I also love the heel to add some extra height, but there is a super similar pair with a lower heel that's really great also.

This chic winter outfit is perfect for a casual day running errands, doing school drop-offs, or meeting friends for coffee. It’s also proof that snow boots don’t have to detract from your outfit—they can actually elevate it! In my case, these boots also add literal elevation and height, which helps me look longer and taller (a bonus at 5’4”!)

My head-to-toe look is made up of a bunch of my go-to winter heavy hitters, all available at @Nordstrom! My SAM. New York puffer jacket in “Jet” black is sleek, glossy, and ultra-warm. It's also very versatile, not to mention super modern and on-trend. This puffer has been my go-to for years now. (I also own it in navy.) The jeans are another amazing go-to for me. I love them so much, I own them in multiple washes. The fit is super flattering, and the cropped style is a fail-safe length to go with winter boots so there’s no issue with the hemline and the boots. #NordstromPartner

To stay extra cozy, I'm wearing a classic black cashmere turtleneck— the ultimate in timeless winter style. (It’s also the warmest option that still layers beautifully.) Then I added tech-touch leather gloves lined with cashmere to keep my hands warm and functional and oversized silver-and-black Ray-Ban aviators for that extra cool factor.
