Whether you live in a cold climate OR you plan to visit one, having the right winter wardrobe basics is a true-gamechanger. It's not just about staying warm (though that is of utmost importance!!!)... these wardrobe essentials I'm talking about are also flattering, chic, and comfortable, on top of being cozy and warm.

The first winter wardrobe staple you need in your closet… a cashmere sweater! Cashmere is warmer than wool, very luxurious, lightweight, soft, thin, and beautiful. Quince has amazing Mongolian cashmere crewneck sweaters in a bunch of neutral colors. This sweater feels really high-quality and it’s ONLY $50!!! Fit runs slightly large. Sneakers... with heels?? Yep, they actually exist… so you know I HAD to try them out!

When I first saw them online, I couldn't decide whether they were crazy or genius... or crazy genius. They are super comfortable to wear and very stable too. I think they are a little trickier to style, but they're also pretty darn cool. I mean sneakers... with heels... As Paul Rudd would say, "who woulda thought? ...Not me!"

Fleece-lined leggings are a MUST for winter in my book! ❄️ AND my favorite faux leather fleece-lined leggings are on MAJOR sale!

If you live somewhere super cold, you definitely need a pair of fleece-lined or super-thick leggings. I have two pairs I love… One’s a faux leather fitted legging that has a thin fleece layer inside. The second pair I have are more of a traditional bootcut style that are 5x thicker than regular yoga pants. I wear both pairs when running errands, walking the dog, snowshoeing… pretty much anything I’m doing outside when I want to be comfortable, functional, stylish, and warm.
