Where are all my dance moms at? Recital season is here, and it can be super overwhelming, especially as our dancers get older, have multiple costumes, shoes, and accessories. Here’s a few tips from a dance mom, and former dancer.
🩰 Use a laundry basket to hold ALL the things! Right now we are only using one with not much to bring. But once the girls get older they will each have their own. It makes it super easy to carry everything into the dressing room. And even easier to throw everything at the end of the night. 😅
🩰 Pack a small emergency bag with extras. Bobby pins, hair ties, sewing stuff, hair spray, makeup if your dancer is old enough to be responsible and not make a mess.
🩰Make sure you pack lots of snacks. It’s along show, and we all know how hungry a tiny dancer can get 🤣. Pro Tip, make sure it’s not a messy snack. No Doritos or cheese puffs that are going to leave an orange dusty mess in its trail. I like to bring fruit snacks, graham crackers, apple sauce, and water.
🩰 When you’re packing activities make sure they’re mess free, especially for our tiny dancers. My girls love these super inexpensive drawing pads from amazon. I also packed some color wonder coloring pages. Stickers would also be another great option for littles.
