Saltwater by Katy Hayes ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was SO excited to read this one - murder, island life, wealthy families, secrets and betrayal - sounds like FUN! Unfortunately, the story fell incredibly flat for me. The setting was incredible and well described. I thought the plot set-up was done well. My attention was captured - what happened to Sarah on the Island of Capri? And why does the family return every year? I lost interest pretty quickly though - there were too many perspectives and timelines. Unfortunately the characters were not well developed enough making it difficult to remember who was actually talking. The transition between characters and timelines was not smooth, which also added to the confusion and the struggle that I had to connect. It did not keep me on the edge of my seat, I found that I was too confused at times and not excited. It started out quick, but the pace slowed down. I wish I loved this one, but the pieces just did not work for me. Thank you netgalley for my advanced reader copy LTKFindsUnder50 LTKSeasonal LTKTravel
