Golden Girl by Elin Hilderbrand ⭐⭐⭐💫 This one has been on my TBR for a while, and I finally picked it up. Vivian Howe is killed by a hit and run. She is a famous author on Nantucket and the mother of 3 older and some grown kids. When she reaches heaven, she meets Martha, her afterlife person, and gets to look in on her family for the rest of the summer and gets 3 nudges. Each of her children and her ex-husband are going through something and handle her death differently. I listened to the audiobook and thought that the narrator did a decent job. While the book was very long, not all parts felt like it dragged on. There were a ton of characters, but I never felt like I had trouble keeping track of them. I wanted parts of the book to be deeper, pieces of the story were very shallow. Vivi as the MC was not likeable. I didn’t love how no one had to answer for any of the wrongs they did. I did love the setting on Nantucket, but the plot and the characters were not realistic. LTKGiftGuide LTKFindsUnder50 LTKHome
