The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife by Anna Johnston ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you @prhaudio for my gifted copy! Frederick Fife is an 82-year-old man that is mistaken for someone else and brought to a memory care nursing home. Parts of this story were difficult for me to read as we are currently dealing with dementia with my father-in-law. Some of it hit too close to home. With that said, this book is adorable, and I absolutely loved Frederick. All he wanted was love and a second chance at a family and at life, so he made that happen. He borrowed a life. He is nice and gentle to those around him, and it was a pleasure to see his inner thoughts. This was a story about finding family, love, compassion and forgiveness. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was spot on. What a fantastic debut and I cannot wait to see what Johnston comes up with next. QOTD: If you were down on your luck and were mistaken for someone else with a different life, would you go for it? LTKSeasonal LTKHome LTKFindsUnder50
