SAVE THIS ONE FOR LATER! 🎈🥳🎉
So we were totally going to have Roo’s 5th birthday party at some play zone or trampoline park or something like that until we saw the price tags on these places…like what??? 💰💰💰
Asking $350+ for two-hour party rooms? Just the principle of it! We’d rather take the girls on a fun family day or camping at a campground or to an amusement park, ya know??
BUT, celebrating the birthday girl is incredibly important to us so I’ve found a few things over the years that save us money on parties all while the girls have the best day ever 👏🏼
WAYS WE SAVE MONEY ON BIRTHDAY PARTIES:
1. Host the parties at our home (even though that requires stress cleaning 😅)
2. Make our own cake and cupcakes using themed cake topper sets on Amazon
3. Create our own balloon garland and columns using balloon arch strips, balloons, ribbon, and balloon weights from the Dollar Tree
4. Have morning parties (between 10am-12pm) so that we can still have naptime 🙌🏼…and since it’s before lunch, we only feed the kids (Uncrustables sandwiches, fruit cups/pouches, cheese sticks, bag of chips, juice boxes, etc.)
5. Have a family member dress up in a themed inflatable costume from Amazon!
6. Themed temporary tattoos instead of face painting
7. Create a fun playlist on Spotify to play on outdoor speakers to create a fun atmosphere!
8. Send MP4 video invitations via text (I order these from Etsy!) instead of paying for printed invitations and postage
What are ways you’ve found that save your family money on parties???
