The secret to this look is how (and when) I use my setting spray. For years I thought setting spray was meant to be used after my makeup had been applied, but that would disrupt my careful blending. A few sprays of a setting spray could take my makeup from smooth and flawless to… patchy. And usually also full of creases. It wasn't a good look! But by using the setting spray as a first step in application, and then also spraying my makeup brush as I'm applying it, the spray gets incorporated into my product, helping to set it, but not disrupting my careful blending.
