A never before seen angle of our bedroom - this is by far the most substantial change to the way we use the space. Instead of two nightstands, we utilized the sort-of-odd bump out sitting area and added a desk. Particularly this year, having a quiet space to work with a door that closes feels particularly luxurious.

The funny part about renovating is that it takes a minute for it to feel like home when it’s done. My @jennikayne Cedar candle and suede Moroccan slippers did just the trick though. I feel like our house is finding its groove... every room is feeling purposeful and intentional. I think the biggest change in here was bringing in this gorgeous wool rug inspired with a subtle Zapotec influence from @luluandgeorgia.

I also added those cute stools in front of the fireplace which have been perfect for never-ending game nights while we’re staying home. I think it breaks up the darkness of the fireplace a bit and gives everything a relaxed, natural vibe.

Friends - can I just brag about my incredible team @idco.studio for a second? I don’t think we praise each other public ally often enough. And they put in WORK this week. We sent off 6 different websites, write copy for another 5, sent off 4 Creative Direction presentations, wrote 4 client blog posts, 3 blog posts for us, knocked out a social distancing photoshoot + presented 4 clients with 30 days of Instagram content.

THESE WOMEN ARE ON FIRE.

There is no IDCO without each and every one of you. Thank you for always giving me your everything, then pushing harder and giving me more. You guys wowed me this week.

I was gonna do a whole blog post on this room tonight, but decided this may be easier for you guys to digest!

Meet the guest bedroom at my parents house with deep Texas roots. Unlike their Northern California coastal inspired master bedroom, this one is about Austin. We sourced a vintage inspired iron bed, paired it with a vintage rug, added in some linen layers and made it feel modern with a gorgeous @mcgeeandco nightstand and substantial lamp. To top it all off, we featured (surprise surprise) more of my grandmas vintage artwork - Texas wildflowers!
