Did you know that dates are a great source of folate, which helps reduce the likelihood of birth defects?! They also provide iron + vitamin K. Women who ate dates were less likely to suffer significant PP blood loss. I started eating them around 31 weeks. It is said that women who start eating dates 4 weeks prior to labor have a shorter first stage of labor & their cervix was softer. Limit to 6 per day.

Dates also have 50% more potassium by weight than bananas!

(I accidentally ordered the whole dates this time around, opt for the pitted and you don’t have to worry about seeds)

As for raspberry leaf tea, midwives recommend a cup a day starting around 32 weeks. It helps tone your uterus and improve labor outcomes. 🤞🏼 (disclaimer, I am by no means an expert just love learning about food as medicine)
