After almost a year of work on our party barn, we got to host for the first time on Easter! Here’s a peek of the lounge setup we have currently. It features white barn lights, a super durable convertible sectional sleeper (that is the perfect price and size for kids), and a bunch of fun and affordable black and white decor elements. Oh, and of course we have a basketball rug to go with the theme!

A lot of the throw pillows are from the outdoor and patio section, so they should hold up to heavy use.

The walls are my fave black paint color… Sherwin Williams Black Magic 🖤

It doesn’t take much to mix up the mood in our powder room…the black board and batten is the perfect backdrop for styling.

Right now I am accessorizing with THE best Turkish hand towels from Amazon (they are so soft + absorbent and come in tons of great colors).

Also, I found an inexpensive no-drill adhesive bottle holder to hold our hand soap and it’s been a game changer. Just stick it on using the included adhesive and you’re good to go!

As we move toward the holidays and start thinking about hosting, these two items are the perfect touches to elevate your powder room.

Digital notes and texts are great, but sometimes a handwritten list or reminder just works better.

I love this wall mounted Kraft paper roll in a kitchen for grocery lists or in the mudroom for quick reminders everyone can see as they head out the door in the morning.

After a solid 3 years of yearning for the leather camp stools from a certain beachy furniture retailer, I have come to terms with the fact that I will never be ok with paying $600 apiece for a small folding stool.

When you want an office space with open shelves, you need to go into it knowing that you’ll probably need to invest in “closed” storage to place on said shelves.

Here I used the Bigso collection from the Container Store to keep’ my files and kids’ school papers easy to reach (and out of sight!).

The FINAL piece of furniture I ordered for the house arrived today… a swivel glider in which to sit by the fireplace, gaze out the window, and hide from the world 😂

In all seriousness… a comfy, cozy chair is the perfect finishing touch to any master bedroom. This version comes in white, grey and an awesome indigo stripe and has removable slipcovers! I’m excited to read in this cozy corner this fall!

I really wanted grasscloth wallpaper in a few different places, but by the end of the build you start to run out of energy (and budget) so I put that idea on hold.

I made a Lowe’s run last week and saw this Scott Living peel + stick wallpaper. I figured I’d give it a try as a temporary fix in our master closet dressing area and I was surprised at how well it turned out.

The whole project took less than an hour and cost under $50 and I love the texture it adds to the walls. I’m going to buy another roll to cozy up our bunk bed nook next 🖤

Also, I finally found a home for my pretty little prayer rug from @shoplindyevalloway. Love the way it elevates this little area.

The long awaited black cane dining chairs finally arrived yesterday (ordered in December!) and they were worth the wait!

I did go ahead and link some similar versions in a variety of shapes. I love how the black and natural contrast looks with our black and white oak cabinets.

Plus, they are performance fabric and the most comfy dining chairs I’ve ever owned. I’m pretty obsessed with @fourhands lately. Everything I pick on furniture sites ends up being theirs without me even realizing it.

The organizer in me is totally geeking out over this pantry cupboard the cabinet makers installed yesterday. It was worth the wait!

All of my cooking ingredients are now stored RIGHT next to the stove to maximize efficiency while I cook- I have spices, sauces, oils and other staples all within an arm’s reach. I have had several Rev-A-Shelf units now and I LOVE how they increase cabinet functionality.

My Moravian star flushmount is probably one of my favorite lights in our current house. It doesn’t put out a ton of light, but in the evenings it casts the loveliest shadows on the ceiling.

There are so many versions of this classic shape, including a variety of glass types and metal finishes. I’m especially smitten with the sconces I linked to this post 😍
