It was officially move in day for our girl, and let’s just say I had a blast pretending to be Joanna Gaines. I’ve been collecting pieces for her dorm room since January and it was cool seeing it all come together. Huge shout out to Sisi’s roommate’s mom for helping me pick out their things and for finding their awesome vanities.

Let’s talk Hooks and Gems prices.
Basically… AFFORDABLE. My business partner and I are both high school educators and we completely understand shopping on a budget. We both love trends, but also value affordability and being unique.
We use gold plated, silver plated, or stainless steel bases (necklaces and bracelets—price range: $10 to $25) and then the charms vary from $1 to $60 (the most expensive piece being our authentic/vintage Louis Vuitton lock and key set (as seen in this post). The average/median price of our charms is $5 dollars. As one customizes their piece, we find that the average price ranges between $40 to $55 dollars. Relative to other charm businesses, that is super affordable!
Speaking of vintage finds, this is my FAVORITE blazer that I thrifted. It’s a Giorgio Armani piece and it’s stunning! I linked some on EBay that I may have to snag myself! lol! Also linking these super comfy parachute pants from Amazon that I posted earlier.

We were living our best life. On an extremely busy Sunday filled with soccer games, a dance competition for Sisi, a basketball game for Chase, and a Hooks & Gems Mother’s Day event hosted at my place, we somehow managed to make a very rare date night. My husband and I, as you can see, rarely take time for ourselves because our weekends are typically out of control. On a whim, I asked if we could go to Eataly, at NorthPark. I’ve actually never been, but after this, I plan on going back. Everything was perfect. From the incredible food down to each decorative detail. I loved it.
Maybe we can afford to go back next tax refund season! 😂
