if i turn around, the view isn’t quite this good so we’ll just focus on this for now.

the rug still needs to flatten, there are still tools laying around and don’t look too hard at that closet door to realize the hardware isn’t put back quite yet! but i’m getting there!!!

but the bed, the shelf above it, the decor - oh my! it just feels exactly how i wanted it to feel - calm, serene and peaceful.

an oasis

it’s finally coming together! these soft new bedsheets have ben washed and look so inviting!!! it’s been a while since i was looking forward to curling up in bed and sleeping in - thank goodness it’s also friday!!!

the last piece that i’m missing is a piece of artwork for above the bed - i have a few options that i’ll be sharing next week - i’ll need your help on picking something that fits the space.

any thoughts or suggestions? and what do you think of the bedroom makeover so far?

bling bling!

i’ve had this jewelry case for years - i want to say i got it off of amazon as my jewelry collection grew - but overall it never fit my style. the wood was too dark, too shiny, too basic.

so some primer, chalk paint and a little bit of TLC, i’ve made this fit my style without question!

now - do you think i have to much jewelry considering i wear the same necklace and earrings… every. single. day….

these lamps were one of the simplest makeovers i’ve done but have such a huge impact! subtle, but huge!

i simply did these just like i’ve done my plate covers in the room…

1 - clean throughly (#diytip lemon oil takes off sticky!)
2 - prime (again - self etching spray paint is amazing!!)
3 - spray paint in any color you want!
4 - seal with again - spray paint!!!

so simple, so timeless, and so subtle!

i decided to change these lamp shades for something clean and crisp and they came out exactly as i envisioned.

and - the best part?! if i get sick of the black, i can always repaint them back to silver! the beauty of spray paint!!!

what do you think? too subtle or just the right amount of clean and crisp?!
