I have been packing Bento boxes for my kids in advance for a while now, but I just started making them for my spouse too!

For my husband, I send a charcuterie snack box packed in a glass, bento box, I like the walls which help keep things in place. This is also handy for separating dry or crispy ingredients and wet/chilled ingredients.

For the kids, I double up and prepack the majority of their lunch trays, and add one extra component like a croissant or sandwich the morning of school. Their bento boxes are my favorite because there is a built-in ice pack tray. It keeps the cold right there as close to their food as possible, ensuring their lunch is served at a safe temperature. This is important because we are in hot, hot hot Texas.

to save myself some time, and an especially when I have shopped in bulk at Costco, more than one days worth of lunches at a time, there are spare trays that come with snap on lids and then you just snap it into the lunchbox shell on the next day.

With outdoor activities ramping up, my kids are going through fresh healthy snacks like crazy! To save some money, we buy bulk produce whenever it’s on sale and make it last. The goal is to make sure no berries go moldy- I can’t stand that!

These are my only produce storage containers- we have them in all sizes to accommodate whole heads of lettuce or lettuce leaves harvested from our hydroponic garden, fruits like berries, grapes and other goods we like to keep on hand.

The beauty is you can wash the produce first - then place into the containers so that it’s ready to eat and easily accessible by the kids. There’s less waste when everyone can see what’s available.

For produce items I’m not planning on using yet and I know the kids won’t be biting into (hello veggies) then I keep them whole and unwashed until I’m ready to prep them, so that the fresh ingredients last even longer. Conversely, you can store cut fruit for easy access. This is all because the containers have drainage slits at the bottom so it’s like a colander so you can wash and strain out excess water anytime you want. A drip tray snaps onto the bottom to keep everything neat.

Shoutout to our favorite produce storage containers! Check out how well our strawberries did in this refrigerator produce container! Berries, grapes, even fresh cut fruits last so much longer in these clear produce organizers.

Everything stays fresh and stored at in its optimal conditions - with air flow vents that can be closed airtight or left open for air flow depending on the needs of the food you’re storing. Additionally, things that need extra humidity get it via a water tray or otherwise produce stays high and dry in water draining / colander style straining containers.

You can choose to wash your produce first and then store (this is what I do with all the fruits my kids love to snack on) wash first so it’s ready to eat!
OR
Choose to wash your produce items when you’re ready to use them. Often times I store veggies unwashed and then wash them in the container (that strains off water) then use as needed.

You can even store cut produce in these boxes too! The excess juice run off into the drip tray to keep fruit from getting waterlogged.

I cannot sing their praises enough because they keep the fresh produce accessible and visible in the refrigerator so my kids eat it all before it goes to waste. This is must have for kitchen organization!

Put it on the wedding registry - the Vitamix blender is worth the splurge if you can swing it. We got the set that includes the blender as well as the 12 cup food processor so it is essentially two useful salsa / food prep and smoothie maker all in one powerful motor.

We made a smoothie in under 30 seconds- using the frozen fruit blends linked- all ice fully chopped and then puréed smooth. For the power that this motor boasts, it is relatively quiet!

It’s the beginning of the week, so it’s time for our weekly reset, and I start by preparing a fresh batch of our families, favorite all in one cleaner that disinfect and sanitizes.

I love that it is all natural, made of salt, water, vinegar that has been electrolyzed to give it cleaning power that is safe and gentle for use in cleaning hospitals, schools, and daycare, as well as our home.

I’m refreshing our home office space and had to grab the stick vacuum to pick up the mess a dropped dustpan made. This vacuum is lightweight enough that it can be used by every member of the family 😉 even the kids! It most often gets used by the kiddo we pay to vacuum up his pet’s hair, and does a good job for a small stick vac and the light helps you see all the dust to be picked up

If you’re addicted to carbonated water like me, this is just the thing to add a little bit of sparkle into your life! Making our own sparkling water at home cut down tremendously on the amount of containers going into the recycling AND the best part is making our own custom fizzy water flavors! My current favorite drink infused flavor is unsweetened, lively lime. It taste just like your leading lime, carbonated water.

In order to take my fizzy water on the go, I put it in the stainless steel bottle that is designed to carbonated beverages, keeping the fizzy bubbles in their longer, preserving carbonation and keeping cold drinks cold!

The kids love hot lunches, especially when it’s February and it is still cold outside! Being able to send them with a home-cooked meal container is my way of sending a warm snuggly hug.

I use hot water to warm these containers and then heat up the food, add hot food to the hot container and then they will have a meal that is the perfect temperature for lunchtime at school.

This is a great way to stretch the budget because you can easily turn their favorite dinner leftovers into lunch.
