Apparently it was the first day of fall yesterday. So naturally the Illinois in us, set out some pumpkins, took out our sweatshirts and put them on in humid Louisiana in the hopes that the temperatures drop a little 🤣 #WalmartPartner

I just know that these next few weeks up until thanksgiving are going to fly by. With the kids activities, school, work, our California trip next month and not to mention all the big birthdays that are upon us. 😍

Because come first week Dec I’m coming home. After 2.5 years 🩷 & I cannot wait.

And just like that - the kids are back in school. 5th grade and 2nd grade. This time last year we had just moved to New Orleans. I don’t know how but time is flying. Imaan is 1 MA ❤️
As for me, I’m in my fitness era. I’m working out 4 times a week and I’m trying to eat healthy. I’m 39 in 2 months and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything this body has been able to do. Time to get healthy and focus on getting into shape.
It’s been a wonderful summer, and now I’m craving discipline and routine in life. A little matcha run post school doesn’t hurt 🤩

Imaan turned 9 months a few days ago which means we’ve been living in New Orleans for 7 months now. 😭 I’m just so so proud of how the kids handled this move, have made friends, and most of all grown into such amazing people. #WalmartPartner
Parenting is not for the faint hearted and in this phase of life I feel like everyday is a new curveball thrown at us. Laila starts middle school next year and is my height now, Mikayl will go to grade 2 and in 3 months Imaan turns 1 IA. Each one of them a different personality, not easy to navigate. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world Soaking in this beautiful spring afternoon before the Louisiana heat sets in and we won’t ever be able to stand at our front door without the 🦎 coming in.
