My go-to baby items for our third baby! I’m not big on a bunch of “stuff” or gadgets or containers, there’s lots of snuggling over here! But some of my favorite things make middle of the night feedings easier (hello double zip pjs and tap touch night light), taking baby on the go simpler (portable sound machine) and allow me to be hands-free when needed to help the big kids (carrier and bouncer!). We love being a family of five!!

Living room love! Yes there are some things that still need to be done in here (trim rug pads after flattening, mount TV), but this room has come together just like I hoped it would!

There are pieces I’ve waited YEARS to put in our home and so worth the wait! Delayed gratification is lost in our generation… whole other tangent. But now that the time/house/budget is right, we could make it happen and I cried happy tears seeing the Last Supper go up in our home.

Rant over, here’s our living room, pieces all designed to be kid/family friendly and last a long time! Performance fabrics, easy to clean, inexpensive pillows, greenery to soften, floor space for the kids to play, functional and practical.

My go-to stain remover!! Kolton’s grandma shared her secret stain weapon with me and it’s the only thing that gets out grease, grass, berry, dirt and, in this case, chocolate stains out!

This shirt had already been washed before I saw the stains and Krud Kutter got them out no problem! Just spray and scrub with a toothbrush!

She cooked a from-scratch meal for us every day my entire childhood and began her love for cooking as a newlywed with my dad over 30 years ago! She is definitely my go-to cooking expert. Moms know the craziness of trying to cook dinner while having little ones at your feet! It can definitely be chaotic but I always have a few things handy to keep my kids entertained while I cook. Sometimes they get to watch a little TV, but I try to leave that as a last resort. Here are some things my kids enjoy doing while I’m cooking:

-Sticker books and the “pop” books
-Pretending to cook themselves! They each have their own little embroidered apron with their name and they get out toy food, bowls, spatulas, muffin tins and more and pretend to cook! Sure it’s more for me to clean up, but they love it. I’ll put an ice cube or two in the bowls for them to “mix” and they love that.
-Help mama cook! We don’t have any “toddler towers,” just an old step stool I’ve had since college, and they climb up that and help me cook at the counter. They use their toddler cutting set and help chop vegetables, peel garlic or help me add spices to things!

And, of course, cooking from A Month of Dinner means easy dinner recipes that come together quickly and are toddler and hungry-husband approved! 💛

When it comes to my morning routine, I’m a bit of a nut 😬 I do the same thing literally every morning and have for 4+ years. Granted, it depends on when my children wake up, but I wake up at 5:00am, put on my robe or loungewear, make my bed, make a cup of coffee, light a cozy candle, get back in my made bed and then dive into these 3 books. I do these books 2-3 days a week and do “work” or household administrative items the other mornings!

The parenting book and devotional are both single-page reads, so they’re very digestible and easy, but great takeaways. Write the Word is a scripture-focused journal. Each entry has a verse and then you have 2 pages to write whatever is on your heart—a blank canvas! These are my favorite journals.
