Day 4 EBF
With Maverick this “tiny” amount of milk would have left me disappointed and worried. With Charley, now I know this is a big win! Almost 1 oz from the haakaa extra (collected from non nursing side).
Nursing my forst baby I compared my supply to pictures of others freezer stash. This left me feeling helpless and insufficient as a mother. It took almost 6 months for me to learn it was ok, great even, that I was producing exactly what my baby needed.
I have not started pumping yet but for those sessions baby doesn’t empty all the milk the haakaa is perfect!
Why haven’t I started pumping? I don’t think my body can handle nursing and pumping right now. I plan to start pumping (some) at about 2 weeks.
