Trying on the Aritzia Cocoon coat xxs - this coat is a thicker weight with a slightly plush wool cashmere fabric. Material felt soft and warm with a unique standup cocoon collar. I tried on xxs in both the long and short length and liked both for very different looks. The sleeves of the xxs are a little long on me. Trying on xxs in the Aritzia Constant coat in the thicker wool cashmere material. Same coat style also comes in knee length (linked).

Runs big; size down if you can

The Constant coat is one of their core styles that comes back each year in different materials and colors. I’ve found that depending on how thick the material is, the coat will fit a little bit differently!

The wool cashmere is a thicker, plush feeling material that is heavier weight than their regular wool material. In this material the coat feels a little big and long on a petite frame, but is extra warm if you like an oversized maxi coat look. The merino or lighter weight wool Constant coats feel less thick and slimmer fit.

Trying on the Aritzia Connor wrap coat, one of their classics that come back each year. So many good neutral colors!

This is the shorter version, and I’m trying on xxs which is slim fit and flattering on me with sleeves a tad long.

It also comes in a longer length which I personally like since I prefer midi lengths

For fabric choices, there is melton or virgin wool which is thinner and more slim fit looking , and also wool cashmere which is thicker, and seems a little warmer with a slightly more plush hand feel

• pleated skirt Xxs, previously I had suggested sizing up but with ny weight fluctuations I went back to xxs. the wide waistband is elastic and very stretchy. The Pleats are very airy and floaty with a full lining

• their pants are Some of the best quality tailored trousers out there with no waist gap on me.

I have a 25” waist and can fit 00 short but the 0 short is a little more comfortable, so I sized up this time.

FYI the short length at Aritzia is still on the longer side (28.5” inseam) and I need to wear with high heels.

The most versatile pant for me is actually their cropped (also linked) which I get in 0 regular!.

If you’re ordering online be sure to check the tag upon receipt to make sure you got the right style and length. Once I received the regular length even though I ordered short!

Trying on xxs Short in Burnt Cedar

Aritzia makes 2 coat styles in petite! They call it “Short,” but the entire garment is adjusted for shorter proportions like American Petite sizing, including the coat length, overall fit and the sleeve length. The two styles are:

1.) Slouch coat in (Re) camel Wool, Slouch coat in Wool Cashmere (may be thinner weight than the Recamel Wool one)

2.) New Stedman Coat

The Slouch coat runs very oversized while the Stedman is a little more slim fit.

I have on XXS Short in the Slouch Coat (Re) camel Wool and it’s a generous, roomy fit with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. Some reviews suggested sizing down.

Coat is very nice quality and truly a plush, thick, warmer coat but doesn’t feel heavy. There is an internal lining between the layers that adds extra insulation without heaviness.

• Levi’s Wedgie Straight jeans in 24 x 26, “space to think” wash which is a grainy medium blue

• Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole suede ankle bootie 5.5. I walk miles in these! Runs a little narrow so I sized up to my bigger half size. comfy, well cushioned and with arch support. Slim stretchy shaft with zipper is comfortable and easy to fit under pants and jeans leg openings.

Little black pleated dress. So flattering and a bit sexy but also elegant and has a little structure. See a different post where I have these on with the leopard kitten heels.

• Aritzia dress size 00, very petite friendly. The 00 Measures 12” across the waist (24” around waist) and about 15” across the bust, material has just a little stretch and back zipper.

This dress fits pretty snug on me, so a 0 would likely be more comfortable for me. With Aritzia items I’m often in between a 00 and 0 as my weight fluctuates.

• schutz Maryana sculpt black suede boots 5.5. Got these a few years ago and still love!

These fit a little small in the foot and narrow at the calf - I am usually a 5 or 5.5 and def needed the 5.5 . Very sexy and flattering but fyi it is a pull on style and fairly slim fit in this size.

Also linked sam Edelman boots that have a lower heel and taller shaft. The size 5 in the Sam Edelman boots were a fairly slim fit on me but calf size goes up with shoe size!

Finally had a chance to try on this gorgeous Aritzia tailored coat! fYi this is one size bigger than my usual aritzia size since that’s all they had in store

• Aritzia Ortilia wool cashmere coat in “Saville” color - trying on xs which is a little big on me and sleeves were long. my usual xxs is available online!

This is a uniquely designed and warm midi length coat with a plush, thicker fabric . The shawl style collar has buttons and can be worn flipped up or down, and there is a row of hidden inner buttons to help the wrap style coat be secured underneath the sash tie.

The most beautifully structured, chic little black dress with long sleeves. Linked a few other little black dresses too from @aritzia #aritziapartner - the mini pleated Sunday Best Palette dress is another favorite with elegant neckline (I sized up to 0)

Sizing: I almost always do aritzia xxs or size 0 (I size up in their numerical sizing since it usually runs small!) for this, I also sized up and got a 0 and it’s slim and fitted on me.

The fit and shaping on this is incredible and made for petites.

I do have the sleeves folded under but you can’t tell and it stays out all day. This is A true shorter mini length for petites in an elegant long sleeve style. Also looks so good with a pair of ballet flats and tights

Material is like a ponte, unlined with some stretch.

Pair it with the Connor belted coat for a timeless and flattering combo

I sized up in the crops to a 0 regular, but am really in between their sizing (00 is snug while 0 is a little loose). In my experience their 00 usually suits a 24” waist while the 0 suits 25.5”

• trying Aritzia bomber jacket in light birch xxs - also tried in black. Petite friendly fit with some shoulder padding that I thought made it extra chic. Very cute with loose or wide leg jeans.

• Levi’s baggy dad jeans 24x27 - heads up these are very short in length! Which I love as someone 5 feet tall, but I make sure not to put mine in the dryer.

these are non stretch with a relaxed loose fit. They come in regular or cool performance fabric - I have on the latter is a thinner more fluid denim. I’m used to higher rise jeans and did find the back rise to be a little short on me, but I’ve been wearing these a ton regardless!

• Aritzia effortless crop pant in regular inseam. I’m between their pant waist sizes - a 00 fits 24” waist and a 0 fits a 25.5” waist.

At 5 ft tall I can do their crops in either regular or short. The 00 regular crops measure 23.5” inseam and 11” rise.

The Arbus blazer linked is very chic and tailored, the torso of 00 is very petite friendly but the sleeves are long and need to be hemmed or folded in on me

On sale: Aritzia Effortless Pant in Short. Drapes beautifully. I’m in between their waist sizes. Their 00 fits a 24” waist and 0 fits a 25.5” waist.

Inseam measures 28” with an 11” rise. High quality crepe fabric, waist of 00 is fitted on me with no gap but a 0 is a little more comfy for me. Length is on the longer side for Short sizing so I suggest also checking out the cropped
