Where do I even start today I wore my fave new white dress with cutouts that’s perfect for vacation outfit, spring day looks and could be dressed up for date night,, it’s super light wait with a modest lining (that wasn’t too tight and didn’t ride up) 🤌🏼 I paired it with my fave stud sandal that goes with everything and a little raffia clutch bag. My first look has a retro swim suit I love the full coverage butt for family pool days and it’s stunning as a bodysuit. This is the perfect clean girl minimalist aesthetic 🤌🏼 I love a set more than a dress because you can wear them as separates to mix and match and this skirt is the perfect midi length it didn’t ride up was stretchy and not too thick material to feel restrictive but not too thin to feel see through or cheap.. Let’s start at the beginning because my body image / self love journey is my most complicated love story

Btw happy international women’s day my lovelies - if not one has told you today yet, you are enough and you are loved🫶🏼

It all started when I was 12 and entered Elle girl search for a super model and got into the finals where one of the most famous agents scouted me and I was put on the “models to watch” board (because I was so young)

I was being measured regularly and it quickly became apparent my body shape (in particular my hips) was not “acceptable”

After I was dropped because I was too big (I’m a UK 8 and a US 4) they gave me a list of other agencies who I should meet with

I’m honestly so proud that even at that age I had the balls even after being rejected to try again and I did try all 11 times and each time was rejected for being too something… curvy, commercial, mature for my age you name it I was too something and not enough of something else

As you can imagine I took that all in and as my very competitive Virgo self I thought ok well clearly my body needs to change and I need to be the measurements of the successful models to make it and so this is just the beginning of the journey, to be continued next Wednesday 💕
