➕Building101➕

Todays topic for #building101 is outdoor spaces! Since I’ve got Covid, I won’t be on stories today to talk about it, but thought I would share some views of those spaces in a post! Hoping to get on stories tomorrow sometime!

We built our outdoor kitchen last summer, it’s been one of the best investments! We have all @blaze outdoor grill products for our kitchen. The brick is the same as our other brick in our home. You can find lots of info on the brick and how this kitchen was built on my highlights! One is called brick details, and the other is called outdoor kitchen.

Then I’ve got a view from the other side of the back porch. Our outdoor furniture was one of my top sellers last year! It’s very modern, but the outside of our home is definitely more modern than our inside! Where I am standing in this spot to capture this view is where we plan to put in an outdoor fireplace soon. Also, the big window, also has a bartop we built under it, and I finally decided on barstools for that area! I’ll share soon!Back porch is 12x46 and we decided to add on a small pad about 15x18 which is uncovered. We plan to build a pergola there and the bed swing I’ve always wanted! 😉

Front porch is 13.5x8 and it also has the same brick we used everywhere else in our home. Mortar is buff, same as everywhere else. Front porch and back porch almost mirror each other. Same doors, cedar posts, tongue and groove vaulted ceiling.

➕Outdoor Kitchen➕

Outdoor kitchen is done! We are so in love with this space! We used it for Liam’s party yesterday and it just flows so well! We loved having the extra drawers and the sink! We used the same brick as the inside of our home (direct link on my website, 5th or so link down) and we used a natural stone countertop with a rough chiseled edge. I love the texture it gives! Swipe to see a closer view!

We have a few upgrades we did to the back porch area, so I’m excited to share those soon!

I’ve tried to recreate the open door photo several times, but the original photo from last year keeps floating around Instagram! 🤷🏼‍♀️ usually I try to capture what’s on the front porch, but this time I captured the view inside. I love how it shows the symmetry of the dining room!

➕Back porch refresh➕

We power washed the back Patio this weekend and it’s amazing what a good wash will do! I also added some new planters and boxwoods by the back doors to give it more of a welcoming feel! The bricker is supposed to come later this week to start the outdoor kitchen! I also plan to put a bar top and barstools along the kitchen window!

Also, can you find out cat Kiwi?? She kind of blends in with all the black and white! 😆She’s got a big belly, so we are expecting more kittens soon!
