When I first saw this bedroom my gut reaction was to get rid of the chairs and opt for a daybed, centered under the window. However, a tall dresser was a non-negotiable, so that idea got scratched. The chairs were out too as they looked forced and ended up serving as a place for clothes (and not as a cozy place to read).

The solution? A chaise lounge. French for “long chair” these furniture pieces have an extended seat for leg support, allowing a person to recline with their feet up. We completed the look with a marble drink table, throw pillow and a blanket. 💁🏼‍♀️

In late 2022, the #ewingrefresh homeowners reached out in need of decorating help. They had recently made the transition from a small apartment in San Francisco to their first home in beautiful Minneapolis. Starting afresh, they found themselves at a loss regarding where to begin or what elements to focus on first.

So we collaborated closely to honor the existing aesthetic (of the home) while seamlessly integrating fresh elements. The end result was a cozy living room refresh ➡️ a space that harmoniously combined neutral tones with vibrant pops of color.

In our #ewingrefresh project, there was no dedicated entry in this Tudor home, so we created one. We integrating thoughtful storage solutions, like a ladder bookshelf and storage bench, but without comprising the design. The end result was a seamless and inviting transition from the outside in.
