Just styled a stunning, tall, and curvy client in NYC for two fabulous events: a wedding and a Christmas gala! She's between a pear and apple body shape—about 5'9" with gorgeous red hair, so I focused on pieces that celebrate her curves and highlight her best features.

For the wedding, we chose a classic V-neck dress with a defined waist and wide collar to draw the eye up to her face while adding a touch of drama to her silhouette. It was comfortable yet hugged her curves just right.

And for the gala, a high-waisted green dress that’s pure magic with her red hair! From the belt details to the pleats, this piece added elegance and sparkle in all the right places. If you’re curvy and looking for styles that flatter, take note—and stay tuned for accessories to complete the look.

Gala season continues, and sometimes, pulling together the perfect look means working with what you’ve got—just ask Brooklyn! 🖤

She fell in love with this Cinq à Sept blazer (I remember being there when she first found it!), but the matching pants just didn’t suit her body type. We also considered a stunning dress, but it was far too long, and with no time for alterations, we had to pass. Instead, we got creative and opted for sleek black slacks—after all, Brooklyn’s schedule doesn’t leave room for last-minute tailoring!

✨ We tried two pairs: one from Theory (splurge) and another from Open Edit (on sale 🙌). While both fit great, the crepe material on the Open Edit slacks brought that extra luxe vibe for her gala look.

💡 Style tip: When your blazer is the star of the show, keep everything else simple and monochromatic to really let it pop!

🔗 Both pieces are from @Nordstrom, and no hemming needed—perfect for Brooklyn’s petite frame. With a few accessories and the right shoes, she's all set without the last-minute rush.

Added some Kate Spade earrings for that finishing touch. It’s all about feeling confident and polished, even on a time crunch!
