I am so happy to see Barbies in wheelchairs now adays! I didn’t see any when I was younger, and I love that my daugheter and her friends will grow up seeing disabled men and women represented more in their daily lives like this. I was so excited when Belle pointed to the box and said MOMMY…like YES baby girl, she is just like mommy! And she just adores this Barbie and it melts my heart. When you’re in a wheelchair and are blessed with a super independent toddler, you use it to your advantage lol. Just kidding, but not??? But seriously she loves pushing my suitcase around, which is a huge help to me when I have to go to the bathroom while waiting for our flight. I get help to and from the counter and onto the plane but when I’m waiting at the gate, there’s no one to help me with my bags or watch them for me if I’m traveling alone, so I have to either hold it, or bring them into the bathroom with me, which is really hard to do with her up until recently. #wheelchair #wheelchairmom #travel #wheelchairtravel

I am loving our new smart home curtains in our bedroom, I will be added these devices from SwitchBot to all the curtains in our house! Not only is it so cool to be able to control this with your voice via alexa, or your phone from anywhere, but it is also a great accessibility addition to the home. I have trouble getting curtains opened and closed when they are behind furniture, and in general because my height in my wheelchair makes the pulling a bit awkward. So get yours today!
