Ready for your next family camping trip? 🏕️ Let’s meet the inflatable glamping tent! ✨ It’s easier to set up than the traditional kind that you have to put up with poles… one person set-up, inflates in about 3 minutes!

This tent sleeps up to a family of 6 in sleeping bags. You can easily put two twin size air mattresses or one king size. There are several screened windows that unzip and roll up out of the way as well as two large roll-up doors flaps.

Although you could use an electric pump, I used the included manual pump which is ideal for campsites without electricity hook ups.

Guess what? ✨ It’s easier than the traditional kind that you have to put up with poles… this was easy enough for me to inflate in about three minutes on my own!

⛺️ The ceiling height is high enough for a 6 foot adult to stand in the center, and about 5.5ft around standing in the middle 1/3 of the tent.

It is hot here in Texas y’all! I am putting up shade anywhere I possibly can to be able to enjoy our family’s backyard.

A while ago, I got this outdoor side table / patio umbrella base. While we have enjoyed it as a table, and upon a inspecting inside of it, it could also be used as a large planter as it has drainage holes (until you officially install the metal umbrella stand base inside).

I finally found the perfect umbrella. After searching all over, I wanted something with a nice sturdy hole, that does not need a base because my table already has one included, and I wanted it to be a good size, but not too big to sit on the concrete slab in that corner of the yard . It is a side yard area that is tucked away and normally unused, but now it is my new favorite little corner to retreat to in our backyard and it is even better with the generous amount of shade that this 6 1/2 foot umbrella yields. The 6.5’ square market umbrella gives us plenty of shade overhead and even more when we angle it to shade us from the afternoon sun.

Don’t hesitate on this umbrella, it’s very solid for the price point! I have also linked the 7.5 ft hexagon shaped umbrella in case that version suits your space better.

This umbrella is a triple sized umbrella that opens up wide and is single-handed operation! This large large patio umbrella provides just as much shade as my 10 x 12 pergola does over our backyard but it required no installation besides setting up the base (yes the weighted base is included!).

We got this 2 summers ago and I have never been happier to report that it is still in great condition. We keep it uncovered, most of the summer season, but I do cover it for extreme weather with a waterproof cover.

We use it when hanging out in the backyard and it keeps our patio space comfortable when we are having outdoor parties during summertime

The best thing I’ve done to our backyard - SMART OUTDOOR LIGHTS - Automated Routine/Timer and Dimmable for ambiance and control via Alexa.

The lights only come on in our backyard between certain hours I determined we might enjoy them, and only if the conditions are right- not on evenings that are too chilly! That’s smart, but to take it up a notch, our lights have a bedtime that I’ve set for them to auto shut off and and I don’t have to worry about it.

Also, I can ask Alexa to turn off the Backyard (all smart enabled devices in my yard including the string lights) or just say goodnight Alexa which I’ve programmed to shut off all my lights by voice command.

Work smarter not harder y’all! And now I’ve got the perfect environment for lounging on the patio thanks to the dimming feature.

I have also linked the café, light string light poles that I used to hang these as well as the solar fence lights has shown on the far right.

The curtains can be drawn back at tied to the pergola posts or fully extended to provide privacy from neighbors and shade over our outdoor bed. I’m using 4 52-84” panels to fit the 12’ side of the 10’x12’ pergola In the far corner I’ve tucked an egg chair because it’s always fun to hang in swing seat.

Here in Texas, one thing is guaranteed to follow a good rain — mosquitoes! 🦟 We want to enjoy the backyard during the Summer and Fall seasons. I feel good using something that repels bugs, “ghat-urally” on our kids and Hank.🐶

At home I prefer the spray for the whole family + dog, and the wipes are easy to bring along to outdoor events or toss in my beach bag.

I lit up our outdoor space by rehanging, our outdoor café lights in a zigzag pattern, but this time I upgraded the hangers to heavy duty string light poles that securely stake into the ground.

I also added water resistant protective covers for the outdoor plug connections. The lights that I am using in the back yard as well as the extension cords are all water resistant however, I have these leftover from waterproofing, holiday, decorations and thought why not put them to use?!

To take it to the next level- I added a smart outdoor plug (which has one of the best apps for controlling smart devices that I have ever used!!). The app allows me to program routines and schedules for my lights to turn on and off, and they can also be controlled by voice using our Alexa devices. In the late evenings, I never have to worry about turning the lights off myself, they will either go off at the time that they are supposed to or when we choose to shut them off. I am a big fan of smart devices inside of my home, it only makes sense to utilize them outside as well!

This has transformed the ambience in our backyard and patio space. The family cannot wait to enjoy the outdoors more during this spring and summer season.

It’s hot out here ☀️ cold brew with iced coffee cubes is my afternoon delight!

I love freezing sweetened condensed milk for my coffee so that the drink doesn’t get watered down. You get a slow melting cube of iced coffee and sweetener. (Sweet cond. milk won’t freeze on its own, too sticky sweet!

The large sized ice cubes are perfect for freezing edible flowers for baby showers or bridal events.
