Continuing with the theme of organization with kids, one of the best places to start is their bedroom of course! I always try to keep as much of their things in their own spaces and since not everyone has a dedicated playroom, kids bedrooms are where you should start creating a place for everything. This is the progress in my oldest son’s room. If you notice his bed has under bed storage drawers and built in book shelves in the headboard. The tip here is to look for function in larger furniture pieces, especially if you may have limited space. He has a dresser that holds the majority of his clothes and then a few hanging pieces in the closet. So the under bed drawers, nightstands, and storage ottomans at the foot of the bed are all storage for miscellaneous toys, stuffed animals, games, etc. Those under bed drawers, nightstands, and ottomans are containing a lot and keeping the room looking orderly. Another great piece of furniture my kids have had in their room is a cube style or similar style bookshelf with baskets/bins for toys and shelf space for books. And the baskets/bins continue into their closets as well!
