… I caught an IG Live today of Rhonda Byrne and they were celebrating 20 years since her discovery of The Secret. I have loved this book for yearssss. A great read for yourself and also makes an amazing gift book.

… the Netflix version of this Elin Hildebrand hit comes out in a few weeks (September 5th), making this the perfect time to reread it! I just finished, and enjoyed it more than the first time! Definitely a lot of twists and turns that should make for a great onscreen version too!

Park Avenue tells the story of Helen Gurley Brown (of Cosmopolitan Magazine fame).

Fifth Avenue tells the story of Estée Lauder.

Funny Story: listening to on Audible and loving, dare I say might be my fave Emily Henry to date!

Summers at the Saint: reading in book form, loving - lots of characters, a mystery, a glam setting (and featuring a hotel / membership club that reminds me so much of the one I worked at for years that I wonder if the author did research there!)

Mr. and Mrs. American Pie: next up for me (in book format), I’m loving watching ‘Palm Royale’ and this book is what it was based on (with a lot of details changed I believe)

Book Shopping Haul 📚
… from a recent trip to one of my fave small biz bookstores: Country Bookshelf in Bozeman, MT (if you have any desire to support small biz, please consider ordering from them, tagged in my IG BZN Highlights and posts!)…

I always try to pick a few different / unique choices when I’m shopping Country Bookshelf (it makes for great memories enjoying them at home more than buying another bestseller list book). This time I grabbed 2 fiction that I hadn’t heard of (one older and one with San Diego ties!), a style book to add to my color books library and a new one by Paulo Coelho (I love and have been meaning to reread ‘The Alchemist’).

I also bought some stationary and a few books for nephews and nieces, linking some of those that may be helpful for your gifting needs here too!

Adding to the TBR Pile! ✨
… my TBR likes ever-growing BUT… stopped into the bookstore today to pick up The Sicilian Inheritance on rec from a few friends and saw 2 more I’m ready to read too.

Table for Two - LOVED this author’s ‘Rules of Civilty’ and it looks that this book is separate short stories that are sort of a prequel to that. I cannot wait! ✨

Princess - read and enjoyed this author’s ’The Flight Attendant’ (and really enjoyed the show based off it), this new one by him looks interesting!

… loved this display on a recent bookstore run. 2 Barbie books I have and love, 1 DVF book I’ve pondered and need and 1 new-to-me I quickly treated myself to. Any and all of the 4 would make amazing gifts as well!✨

All cute & light…

One Night Only: Loved, I have loved all this author’s books, read this one in book format but have also enjoyed her work in Audible format.

Love & Gelato: Cute, fast read, is a YA book that has been in my TBR pile for a bit. I enjoyed!

The Party Crasher: Listened on Libby, loved - this author’s work is always fun / funny and happy.

Funny You Should Ask: Technically still finishing but enjoying, a unique storyline.

The Improbable Meet-Cute: Available only on Audible, 6 short stories by popular authors… you could take or leave this one. A few of the stories were cute, one was terrible… but none were amazing, I’d prioritize the other reads!

Bunny Biz 💖🐰
… 2 of the cutest Easter books for littles (or littles at heart, I own both 🤣). ✨

Fave author that more rom com readers need to know about! Just finished my last of Catherine Walsh’s books (read over the last year spaced out) and have loved them all! ‘Holiday Romance’ is my favorite (and ‘Snowed In’ is an adjacent story to that one), but they are all great. She does tete-a-tete / witty repartee so well. I hope we eventually get some movie romcoms from her! Highly recommend!

Side note if you listen via Audible etc., author and some of the characters / settings are Irish, which is reflected in the narration if that’s a factor for you (I loved it)!

Trust me. Someone on your gift list you just can’t get to before Monday? Full proof plan for most: pick one book, one luxe beauty product and add either a bottle or split of champs or a coffee gift card. Done! And the best part: it’s just as special next week (maybe more) when we’re in that weird in-between week! ‘Big Magic’ is a fab read for most, see links for other options.
