Cowlicks are a pain to deal with but I have a styling trick that will help you out when your cowlicks are misbehaving. In this video, I’m using the Bio-Ionic Long Barrel Curling iron to heat the roots of my cowlick so that I don’t flatten them out completely. It’s been a whirlwind month for our family of six, with everyone moving or getting ready to move within just a few weeks! With so much going on, I needed a quick and easy makeup routine that still made me feel fresh and polished. I used the Dior Forever Full Cover Concealer as both my foundation and concealer, kept it simple with a one-stick eyeshadow from Covergirl, and added a touch of glow with the Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette for blush and eyeshadow. It felt so good to wear makeup and step out of the house for a change. Sometimes, a little beauty boost is just what we need in the midst of all the chaos.

I created a summer makeup look that lasted through several dog kisses. Bailey and Shelby got in a little spat and Shelby nipped Bailey. Poor guy…this time. He’s not so innocent though. They’re best friends on minute and bickering the next.

I have to share the most comfortable jeans I own! The Old Navy Wow Boyfriend Straight Jeans offer comfort while still giving shape. I’m wearing a size 8, which is my usual size, though I could fit a size 6. I prefer a looser fit, so it all depends on your style preference. I’d say they run a touch big. I’ve been wearing them with my adidas or my Clark’s. I hope this helps!

When I feel tired or not as bright as I’d like to, I have been using Lumify eye drops. In this video I had the camera rolling so I finished my look with a drop of Lumify to capture the process and the finished result. It took about a minute to change my eyes from blood shot to bright. 🤗

A little makeup inspiration for all women, especially those with mature skin.

I’m here to encourage you to play with makeup. I often hear people say, “If you’re over 50, don’t do this… do this instead.” While there are tips and tricks to help you feel your best, I don’t believe in strict rules. Do what makes you happy without worrying about how it may look to someone else. What’s important is that you feel good in it.

For this makeup look, I decided to keep my skin looking fresh and even without a lot of color. I applied a small amount of Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick for eyeshadow, added mascara, did my brows, and finished with a rich lip cream by Sigma. I love this look.

Tomorrow, I might be wearing purple eyeshadow with sparkles. I’ll follow what my mood tells me is right for the day. I hope you feel inspired to play freely with your makeup, hair, and fashion every day. 🤗
