Styling your kitchen can prove to be surprisingly frustrating. Here are some recent finds that will hopefully help you out in your own kitchen...

As far as design goes, shelf styling is hands down what I struggle with the most. I’ve found that it helps to mess around with a bunch of objects. Try out several variations. Live with them for a couple of days. See what feels good when you walk by. Incorporate wood elements, functional ones, books, pottery and some greenery. Does anyone else struggle to make their shelves look right?

When designing our home, one word was repeated over and over…”Storage. Storage. Storage.” This was especially true with regards to the kitchen and pantry area. Our last kitchen had a large footprint but there was almost no truly functional storage. The cabinet space in here has really helped us to be far more organized. My favorite part? That tall cabinet to the left of the freezer.

These precious houses arrived today. I opened the box, unwrapped them and carried them to the kitchen. Immediately took down the Christmas decor that I had already styled on this shelf and up went these little beauties. (Both the houses and the stems are from @katemarkerinteriors. 🤍)

One more sleep until Halloween! I have to admit that I’m feeling relieved that we didn’t go all out with decorations inside our home this year. The moment a holiday is over, I stare at the decorations, thinking that about how the house instantly feels cluttered. Do you feel similarly?
