A modern kitchen without the modern day price tag…

Here’s a tip- you can infuse your kitchen with personality and bring it into the 21st century without totally gutting it!

When we were looking at our wish list and our budget for our 2021 reno we knew the kitchen needed some love but we needed to save most of the dollars for the rest of the house! Luckily our kitchen was in decent shape & only needed some adjustments to make it our own.

So what did we do and how much was it?
First off - a wall had to come down! Then we added new lighting, a new range hood, new faucet, new bar top counter with storage built in under it, added a new pantry, & new backsplash. We didn’t touch our cabinetry, hardware, floors, or appliances!

The spending was minimal for the size of this kitchen (about $5k) & it made a huge impact!

Speaking of affordable kitchen finds…resharing my faucet. Super easy way to upgrade your kitchen sink- which is something you use everyday multiple times a day- it’s a great place to put some $$$ in and get an upgraded feel really fast.

💖my 6yo daughter and I use it has a runway when we are doing little fashion shows in the kitchen

🍴and it’s great for washing the dishes with the thick foam pad under it!

🧼 we’ve washed and dried ours a handful of times so far and are loving how easy it makes clean up in a house of 2 littles (one being a toddler) and a very fluffy dog 🐶 👧 👦

🫶 this one gets my mom stamp of approval & my virtual interior designer stamp of approval since Johnathan Adler designs are so fun!

✨this runner comes in 3 colors ways including a neutral one and the so many different sizes! I do not recco large sizes since they likely won’t fit in your washer and they need to dry flat so it’s very hard to find spaces for larger rugs to dry.

🏡 my favorite ruggable sizes are the runner, 5x7, and I plan to grab a zebra 🦓 faux hide in the future.

👟 shoe storage is a must, no it’s not ideal eating near shoes but when they’re tucked away we don’t notice them!

🧥Our Petite coat rack with a drawer is one of the best finds for our dual mudroom/ kitchen nook/ sunroom. It’s a great piece for a small space and functions like a dream!

🧺 Lidded basket! If you’ve been here a while you prob know I am obsessed with these! This one hides all our plastic bags and then once it’s full it’s right by the door so you can take them to recycling at Home Depot
