Do you have cute shoes for your pup?!? If not, you really should! They’re not only adorable but they also are so important in preventing their paws from burning on hot pavement. During most of the year, the sidewalk is too hot for your pups feet and we used to have closed shoes but I recently upgraded to these croc-like options because the holes are important in keeping their paws ventilated. PART ONE! This was a ROLLERCOASTER project and while this is for sure niche content, I had to share it in case I can help just ONE of you decide whether or not it is worth it to DIY or hire out a professional to install faux grass in your yard. We wanted to add a faux grass dog potty zone to our desert vacation home because we wanted to have a designated place for guest’s pups to potty. I didn’t want our cleaners to have to search around the entire property for poop bombs! Also, the desert has TONS of wildlife and critters and I wanted to limit the amount of encounters they would have on the property. I thought that this would be an easy install but let me tell you, I will never do this again. The payoff was great but the amount of work was next level. There are a ton of people who would just slap this together but we wanted to do it the right way so that we didn’t ever have to re-do it.

I LOVED this denim jumpsuit way too much. I actually sized up several sizes. I usually go for a size 6 in jumpsuits but this time I went for a size 10 because it was the only one on the rack but I had to have it!! Honestly, I liked sizing up because the shorts weren’t nearly as short on me which, as a taller gal, is always my issue!

How have I lived my entire life not knowing about this?!? I shared with you all about caving and buying a #mokapot and so many of you bought one for yourselves! So, I wanted to share with you how I use mine! Also, even though the box on this says “espresso maker” it really makes a coffee meet espresso type of drink! Not quite as strong as #espresso but stronger than #coffee. It’s perfectly balanced with a velvet flavor! I have liked using the @peetscoffee Sumatra ground coffee but many of you swear by the @cafebustelo that I want to try next! Stop buying expensive lattes! This little espresso maker will replace your coffee pot or Starbucks lattes in a heartbeat and it’s under $50! Don’t get me wrong I LOVE an iced latte from a coffee shop but there are times when I spend way too much money on them. This Italian espresso maker makes unbelievable espresso and it’s actually a hybrid of the smooth flavor of coffee with the punch of espresso. I can’t explain how delicious it is! If you’re a coffee lover you need this in your life ASAP. I would also highly recommend an electric tea kettle since you do need to heat up the water before you put it on the stove and I’ve linked one here!

$Want affordable custom curtains!? I have found the BEST solution for beautiful custom drapes at a fraction of the cost of what you’d get anywhere else. I would highly recommend ordering the fabric swatch sample booklet before ordering because there are so many variations of colors that you’re going to want to see them in your space. I initially ordered these in light Khaki (with the tailor pleat) but had to reorder them :( in Taupe Grey because the original color pulled a bit more yellow in this south facing room. I also have them in Burlywood Birch in my dining room and I LOVE that color! They are custom, so you can’t return them if the color is off but they are so affordable. Another tip, we ordered the blackout lining and while it’s amazing, they are VERY heavy. So make sure you’re using all of the support possible (preferably using studs) when you’re hanging your new curtains. We also ordered this curtain rod to the back of our two front panels to help us close the curtains without having to touch them with our hands all of the time! If you’re looking for the best things to give your dog a bath at home! I got you! When I was looking for the best products to use to bathe my dog I was overwhelmed but I did a LOT of research and landed on what I think are the BEST bath products for your puppy! Some of these came highly rated by groomers and professionals and I will say my golden retriever does love him despite the look on his face!!!!! And he smells so good after I bathe him with all of these essentials. I will say the undercoat rake and the Chris Christensen dog brush are must haves when you have a dog that sheds constantly. They keep my house from being covered in dog hair! I also use the loofa and the face wash to keep his face clean without irritating his eyes which I was worried about when just using dog shampoo. Once he’s all clean and ready to be toweled off I spritz him with “the stuff” as it acts as a leave in conditioner and it makes his coat so smooth. It’s super important with golden retrievers to dry them extremely well because they can get hot spots and mats if you don’t. This is why I use this blow dryer by Conair to dry him. It’s pretty powerful but also I can keep the heat low enough so I don’t burn him! Also, after a bath don’t forget the paw balm!!

I decided to go with desert luxury when I designed this room. I love organic modern bedrooms but wanted this main bedroom to have a bit more of a dressier twist on it! I love a bedroom makeover!!!! I’ve listed some of the best bedding I’ve purchased for the house below. The mattress firm down comforter is a more winter comforter and is super warm! The Amazon down comforter is more of an all seasons option if someone sleeps hot. I also linked my favorite sheets. The rain in Los Angeles is wild right now. If you ever find yourself needing help moving water out of a flooding basement or flooding yard, look no further than this water pump! When the atmospheric river started flooding our side yard I went to #HomeDepot online and ordered this water pump and this burst proof expandable water hose to keep the water from damaging our AC unit! It’s actually a pretty affordable water pump and works really well! Tip: this expandable hose is a 100ft hose but it’s only actually 25ft until it’s full of water. So, you will need a longer hose than you think if you’re going to move water to a far away location as the pump doesn’t have enough pressure to fully expand it! Happy Homeowner-ing out there!
