Recently a friend came to work with shiny hair. Like, glass hair shiny. The kind of shiny and healthy looking you don't often see in person. I was nosy and asked what she had done, and the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil was the answer.

You can see my before and after pictures here. I took them about 2 minutes apart, I applied a few drops to the lengths of my hair, and there was a noticeable difference in smoothness, frizz and shine. I love that this hair oil has a bit of a floral scent, and it's actually pretty hard to overdo it and make your hair greasy. It's a bit thicker than other hair oils, and I do think my results are better because of that.

@ULTABeauty has some amazing deals on hair tools for Cyber Monday, and my newest purchases are both included! I had to share my thoughts, because you will definitely want to pick up both of these items.

First, the Shark SmoothStyle is a hair drying brush. I know… there are a lot of those now. And I own way too many of them. What sets this drying brush apart is that black/pink thing on the side. It is really a 2 in 1 because that's a heated smoothing comb! I bought the SmoothStyle for travel. Having the ability to bring 2 tools with me, but without taking up extra space, is a big deal! I do have a similar heated smoothing comb at home, and it's perfect for either a quick touch up or for straightening my hair on wash day. I have used the SmoothStyle to dry my hair a few times now, and it is one of the fastest hair drying brushes I've tried. It has 2 different drying levels, and it's really easy to toggle between the dryer and heated smoothing brush.

I also bought a new Hot Tools Curling Iron. I've wanted a 2" curling iron for a while, primarily for faking a really great blow out at home! I've had Hot Tools curling irons in the past, and they're really high quality and can take a beating. There's a good reason they're highly recommended by hair stylists! This one comes in 6 different sizes, has a longer barrel than most curling irons, and they've updated the heat control to a dial!

I've been holding out on all of my readers. I'm forever searching for the best, longest lasting ways to apply under eye makeup that won't crease! I've found a few new tricks, and I'm sharing them over on the blog today, along with my favorite products for creating the look. The best news is that while all of the products you'll need are from @ULTABeauty, you can also get a great deal on them because most of them are also included in today's Black Friday Event!
The secret to this look is how (and when) I use my setting spray. For years I thought setting spray was meant to be used after my makeup had been applied, but that would disrupt my careful blending. A few sprays of a setting spray could take my makeup from smooth and flawless to… patchy. And usually also full of creases. It wasn't a good look!
But by using the setting spray as a first step in application, and then also spraying my makeup brush as I'm applying it, the spray gets incorporated into my product, helping to set it, but not disrupting my careful blending.

I'm often on the go, and don't have much time to spend on my own look. For example, today I quickly got ready, took my kids to school, ran a bunch of errands and then came home for a 9:30 am work call on Zoom. I need to be able to get ready fast, or refresh hair that's a few days out from a fresh washing (I'm on day 3 hair today).

These are 2 of my favorite products to do just that! Deep Clean Dry Shampoo is a super effective dry shampoo, but it is not detectable in my hair. I can't see it on my brown hair, and I can't feel it at all! It's great for hair that's a few days out from a shampoo, I especially like to use it at night on day 2 or 3, and it prevents the oily roots from even appearing.

I've been digging through my vanity and travel makeup bag for the last few days, taking stock of what I currently have and what I'm running out of. Why? Because The @Sephora Savings Event is here! Today I'm sharing my game changing products for a shower, and these are some of my favorites before and after an everything shower!

Before a shower, I like to do as many intensive treatments as possible, with all of their waiting times overlapping to multitask as much as possible! I'll treat my hair with either Olaplex or DryBar's pre-shampoo depending on how dry or damaged my hair is at that time. A mud mask to clean out my pores is a great compliment to those treatments.

After the shower is over, I like to be as hydrating as possible, making my skin super glowy! The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is both soothing and hydrating, while Philosophy's Ultimate Miracle Worker Resurfacing Body Serum has anti-aging ingredients to treat your body as well as you've been treating your face.
